Our Mapping tool allows you to build your own grouping to report on (Reporting Model) and then, without ever changing your clients' accounts, map the detail accounts into the reporting model so all the financial data will roll up like YOU want it to. As your client adds new accounts, the appear on the right side as accounts to be mapped and until they are mapped, are reporting as "unmapped" in your reports
This screen shot shows a chart of accounts that is (mostly) mapped into different groupings for reporting.
- In order to 'map' an account you simply drag the account from the Accounts to be mapped over to a row in the reporting model
- In multi-select mode, you can select more than one account to move.
- We provide a detail view for any list detail that is mapped already that shows all the source details
Again, this does not change the source data but rather creates a map from the client's transactions into your preferred reporting model.
